Epicentr secured a comfortable 3-0 away win against Karbon in the Ukrainian Cup. Despite their status as the favorites, head coach Serhii Nahorniak noted that the team had to overcome several logistical challenges and an unfamiliar playing surface.
I am grateful to the guys. It was a long journey. Today, the artificial surface was unusual for us. Karbon played with emotion and could have scored. But our skill played its part. Serhii Nahorniak
The manager also shared his thoughts on the young players who were given a chance to shine in the cup tie. He specifically singled out 17-year-old Mark Gratsian for his promising performance, while cautioning against over-praising young talent.
I don't want to talk too much about the youth, because you say a couple of words and they start flying in the clouds... But I still can't help but mention Mark Gratsian. The boy is 17 years old, but he is doing well. If he doesn't slow down, something could come of it. Serhii Nahorniak
