Bayern Munich youngster Lennart Karl faces a significant spell on the sidelines after suffering a muscle injury. The incident occurred during the final training session with the German national team ahead of their friendly against the USA, forcing him to withdraw from the squad.
RB Leipzig's Assan Ouedraogo has been called up as his replacement for the upcoming World Cup. Bayern president Herbert Hainer offered words of encouragement to the teenager, pointing to the resilience shown by teammate Aleksandar Pavlovic, who overcame similar setbacks early in his career to become a national team regular.
The injury has prompted concern within the club. According to reports, Karl’s latest muscle issue is part of a worrying trend at Bayern, with other prospects such as David Santos Daiber, Guido Della Rovere, Maycon Cardozo, and Vincent Manuba all dealing with similar thigh problems. Given the frequency of these cases, club officials have launched an internal review to address the underlying issues within the youth training structure.
