The Tunisian Football Federation has officially confirmed the appointment of Moïn Chaabani as the new head coach of the national team. The 45-year-old manager has departed his previous club, Moroccan side RS Berkane, to lead the "Carthage Eagles" into a new era of development.

Management at the Moroccan club expressed their understanding regarding the departure, citing the prestige and importance of the national mission. Chaabani leaves behind a successful tenure at RS Berkane, where he guided the team to the Moroccan league title in the 2024-2025 season and secured the CAF Confederation Cup.

According to the African Press Agency, the new head coach has signed a four-year deal that runs until the 2030 World Cup. The appointment comes as part of a significant rebuilding effort following Tunisia’s disappointing 2026 World Cup campaign, where the team finished bottom of their group after three consecutive defeats.

Chaabani’s arrival is expected to bring much-needed stability to the national team, which previously faced internal turmoil during the last tournament, including the sudden dismissal of Sabri Lamouchi and an emergency replacement by Hervé Renard mid-competition. The focus for Chaabani is now firmly on the reconstruction of the squad.
