Croatian midfielder Martin Baturina has etched his name into the history books for Como, scoring the club's first-ever goal in the Champions League. The 23-year-old opened the scoring in the match against German side RB Leipzig.
Baturina joined the Italian club from Dinamo Zagreb a year ago and quickly established himself as a key figure in the squad. His value was further highlighted this summer, as he rejected several transfer offers to remain with Como and continue his development.
This goal marks a significant milestone for Como, as the club is participating in the tournament for the first time in its history after qualifying for European football's top competition this season.
Before moving to Italy, Baturina was a standout talent at the Dinamo Zagreb academy, playing 165 matches, scoring 22 goals, and winning four league titles alongside two Cups and two Super Cups. Como is currently leading 2-0 against RB Leipzig.
