Como executive Mirwan Suwarso has shed light on the club's transfer recruitment process, revealing that a move for Petar Sucic collapsed despite having an agreement in place with Dinamo Zagreb.

Suwarso explained that while the clubs had reached an understanding, the deal became financially unsustainable due to agent fees. The costs requested by the intermediaries were nearly equal to the transfer fee itself, leading Como to step away from the negotiations.

Following that setback, the club turned their focus to Martin Baturina. Interestingly, Suwarso revealed that the recommendation for the Croatian talent came from journalist Fabrizio Romano.

When I heard the name Baturina, it sounded familiar. So I asked our data department to study him. They replied: "We don't even need to look at the numbers, we already know who he is." But I insisted: "Check anyway." Mirwan Suwarso

Although Como were initially looking for a box-to-box midfielder with attributes similar to Sucic, the positive data analysis on Baturina convinced the club that he was an opportunity worth pursuing.
