Newcastle defender Lewis Hall could sign a new long-term contract with the club in the near future. According to journalist Ben Jacobs, negotiations regarding a contract extension have significantly accelerated over the past few weeks.

Hall is enjoying his time working under new head coach Matthias Jaissle, which has been a decisive factor in his decision to commit to the club. Securing the defender's future is considered a top priority for Newcastle's sporting director, Ross Wilson.

It was previously reported that Manchester United would look to acquire the player in 2027, having failed to complete a transfer last summer. In the current 2026/27 season, the 22-year-old has made four appearances across all competitions, providing one assist.
