Kaio Jorge prepares for his 13th derby against Atletico Mineiro
Cruzeiro striker Kaio Jorge will face Atletico Mineiro for the 13th time in his career, making them his most-faced rival.

On Tuesday night, Cruzeiro forward Kaio Jorge will take the field against Atletico Mineiro in the first leg of the Copa do Brasil quarter-finals. This match marks the 13th time the 24-year-old has faced the club, establishing them as the rival he has encountered most frequently in his professional career.
Kaio Jorge’s record against Atletico is impressive, with six goals scored in 12 previous appearances. Only against Gremio, where he has netted seven times, has he been more prolific.
Notably, the striker has found the net in every derby match this season, including scoring in the Campeonato Mineiro final and the first phase of the state championship, as well as in the Brasileirao.
The match takes place at the Mineirao stadium. Cruzeiro welcomes back defender Jonathan Jesus following his suspension, though Gabriel Pec and Sinisterra remain sidelined due to injuries.
