England midfielder Jude Bellingham finished the 2026 World Cup with a historic milestone. By scoring his seventh goal of the tournament during the 6-4 victory over France in the third-place match, he established a new scoring record for the national team at a single World Cup.

Bellingham surpassed the long-standing record held by the legendary Gary Lineker, who scored six goals during the 1986 World Cup. Beyond the national team milestone, the Real Madrid playmaker also concluded the tournament as the highest-scoring midfielder.

To date, Bellingham has made 56 appearances for England, recording 13 goals and 11 assists for his country.
