Ipswich Town target Strasbourg coach Gary O'Neil
Following the surprise exit of Kieran McKenna, Premier League newcomers Ipswich Town have identified Strasbourg coach Gary O'Neil as their priority candidate.
Premier League newcomers Ipswich Town have announced the surprise departure of manager Kieran McKenna. The 40-year-old had been in charge of the Tractor Boys since 2021, overseeing three promotions in the last four seasons.
The club is now searching for a replacement and has reportedly made Gary O'Neil, currently at Strasbourg, their primary target. Ipswich had previously approached O'Neil during his time working as a pundit for Sky.
O'Neil arrived in Alsace in January and is under contract until 2028, with an option for an additional year. During his tenure with the club, he reached the semi-finals of both the Conference League and the Coupe de France, while also securing the fifth-best points tally in Ligue 1 during the second half of the season.
