Guillermo Almada explains the choice between Henry Martín and Miguel Borja in América's attack
América manager Guillermo Almada highlighted Henry Martín's advantage due to his full preseason while praising Miguel Borja's current form.

Following a 1-1 draw against Xolos, Club América manager Guillermo Almada addressed questions regarding his squad rotation and the competition in his attacking line. The manager explained that his decision to rotate players was based on physical fatigue, emphasizing that a player at 100% condition will always outperform one who is not at peak fitness.
Almada discussed the battle for the starting striker role between Henry Martín and Miguel Borja. While he acknowledged that Borja has been responding well with goals, he considers team captain Martín to be currently ahead in that competition.
Henry, from my point of view, has an edge because he completed the preseason; he is better in terms of game minutes and the intensity he can maintain. Guillermo Almada
Regarding Borja, the manager added that the lack of consistent playing time since joining the club has made it difficult for him to maintain match rhythm. Almada expressed satisfaction that both strikers are in good form and stated that he will continue to look for different attacking variants to help the team.
On the match result, Almada expressed frustration with the team's conversion rate. América recorded 28 shots throughout the game but failed to secure the win due to a lack of precision in front of the goal, despite dominating the play against Tijuana.
