Gleyker Mendoza named UPL 2025/26 top player by goal contributions

Kryvbas midfielder Gleyker Mendoza has been named the top player of the 2025/26 Ukrainian Premier League season based on total goal contributions. The 24-year-old Venezuelan international had an outstanding campaign, recording 11 goals and 9 assists.

Mendoza finished the season with 20 points, leading his closest rival, Egor Tverdokhleb, by 5 points. This achievement marks a significant milestone, as he becomes the fifth foreign player in the last two decades to lead the league in this statistical category.

The season also saw notable progress for Vitaliy Buyalskyi. The Dynamo Kyiv midfielder reached 119 career points (73 goals and 46 assists) after finishing 10th in this season's rankings, moving into eighth place on the league's all-time scoring chart.

Andriy Yarmolenko remains at the top of the historical league rankings. The Dynamo Kyiv veteran continues to extend his lead over the rest of the field, currently holding 185 points from 123 goals and 62 assists.
