The transfer of 24-year-old Hoffenheim forward Fisnik Asllani to RB Leipzig has collapsed. Despite negotiations reaching an advanced stage, the deal was abruptly cancelled after the player failed his mandatory medical examination at the club.
According to local media reports, club doctors discovered health issues during the assessment, leading RB Leipzig to immediately withdraw from the negotiations. The club opted to pull out of the deal entirely upon receiving the medical results.
Asllani had attracted significant interest after a productive campaign, recording 11 goals and eight assists in 35 appearances last season. RB Leipzig had been prepared to pay a significant fee to secure the services of the forward before the medical findings halted the process.
