Italian side Fiorentina has initiated talks to sign Wolverhampton's Nigerian forward Tolu Arokodare. Following their relegation from the Premier League, the English club is undergoing a significant squad overhaul, making departures likely.

Arokodare arrived at Molineux last season in a deal worth 26 million euros from Belgian club Genk. The 25-year-old striker recorded six goals and two assists in 38 appearances during his debut campaign.

Fiorentina is currently proposing a loan deal with an option to buy set at 22 million euros. Reports indicate that the player has already given his preliminary consent to the move, as he is reluctant to compete in the Championship. However, the Wolverhampton hierarchy would prefer a permanent transfer rather than a loan arrangement.
