The Europa League qualification play-offs have concluded, confirming the list of teams advancing to the main stage of the tournament. Several high-profile clubs secured their spots after decisive performances across their two-legged ties.
Benfica, featuring Heorhii Sudakov, defeated AGF Aarhus 3-1 in the second leg, progressing with a 6-2 aggregate score. Anderlecht dominated Kairat with a 3-0 second-leg victory, sealing a 6-0 aggregate win. Ukrainian forward Danylo Sikan was among those who made an impact for the Belgian side.
Salzburg comfortably advanced past Mjällby, winning the second leg 3-0 to finish with a 4-0 aggregate score. Meanwhile, Besiktas successfully navigated their tie; despite a 1-0 defeat to Kauno Žalgiris, their 3-0 lead from the first leg proved sufficient to carry them through to the main stage.
The most dramatic encounter featured Viktoria Plzeň and Red Star Belgrade. The Czech side staged a remarkable comeback, winning 5-1 on the night to overcome a three-goal deficit and secure a 5-4 aggregate victory.
