Following a hard-fought victory over Puebla, secured by a goal in stoppage time, Pumas head coach Esteban Solari emphasized that he was satisfied with the way his team performed on the pitch, regardless of the scoreline.
Solari noted that the win keeps the team in contention for the Liguilla, but highlighted that the commitment to their tactical idea was the most significant takeaway. Despite facing a compact opponent playing with a 5-4-1 formation, Pumas managed to create eight goal-scoring opportunities, demonstrating composure even when the match was deadlocked.
The manager also credited the fans for their role in the team's improvement, stating that their support at the Estadio Cuauhtémoc was felt strongly.
