Right-back Esteban Mouton is poised to take a significant step in his career by joining Laval. The 22-year-old, who was a key figure for Orleans last season, is set to sign a three-year contract with the club.
Mouton had a standout campaign in the National division, recording 30 appearances with 26 starts and providing four assists. With his contract at Orleans expiring, he becomes a valuable addition for his new team.
This signing serves as a strategic move for Laval, which recently secured its place in Ligue 2 after a challenging playoff battle against Rouen in May. The defender, who developed through the Saint-Etienne academy, was closely monitored by roughly half a dozen Ligue 2 sides, including Dunkerque and Clermont, before ultimately deciding on a move to Laval.
