Veres Rivne head coach Oleg Shandruk has shared his thoughts on his team's performance following their 0-3 defeat against Shakhtar Donetsk in the eighth round of the Ukrainian Premier League.

Before the sending off, our game was quite high-quality. But after the red card, the result speaks for itself. We understood it would be difficult to play against Shakhtar with a man down. Oleg Shandruk

The decisive factor in the match was Shakhtar's ability to score from long-range shots. The coach admitted that his team failed to close down the central zone effectively, allowing the opposition to capitalize on their technical quality. Despite the scoreline, Shandruk thanked his players for their effort and acknowledged the fans for their support.

Addressing the red card issued to Rostyslav Baran, the manager offered his full support to the player. He described the incident as a typical gameplay moment driven by excessive desire and urged the squad to put the result behind them and focus on upcoming fixtures.
