Dick Advocaat extends contract with Curacao until 2027
The Dutch coach will continue to lead the Curacao national team following their historic qualification for the World Cup.

Dick Advocaat has officially extended his contract with the Curacao Football Federation. The new agreement for the Dutch manager runs until July 31, 2027.
The 78-year-old took charge of the team in 2024 and played a key role in leading Curacao to their first-ever World Cup qualification. Despite temporarily stepping down due to family reasons before the tournament, Advocaat returned to the bench in time for the competition.
At the 2026 World Cup, Curacao competed in Group E, earning a point after a 0:0 draw with Ecuador. Despite the modest results on the global stage, the federation has opted to keep Advocaat in charge to continue building the team for future challenges.
Advocaat will now focus on preparing the squad for upcoming Nations League matches. He is expected to announce his roster for the games against Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Trinidad and Tobago in the near future.
