Daley Blind returns to Ajax on a one-year deal
Dutch defender Daley Blind has officially rejoined Ajax Amsterdam on a free transfer, signing a one-year contract with his boyhood club.

Daley Blind has officially returned to Ajax Amsterdam. The 36-year-old defender has signed a one-year contract as a free agent with the club where he first developed as a professional player.
This marks Blind's third stint at his boyhood club. He originally started his career with the Lancers in 2008 before moving to Manchester United in 2014. He previously returned to Amsterdam for a five-year spell between 2018 and 2023.
Throughout his career, Blind has also played for Groningen, Bayern Munich, and most recently, Girona. Over his previous appearances for Ajax, he has played 333 matches and secured seven Eredivisie titles.
The return of the former Dutch international, who retired from the national team in 2024, provides Ajax with significant experience. Having won titles in both the Netherlands and Germany, Blind's leadership and tactical versatility will be key assets for the squad during the upcoming season.
