The agreement includes a fixed purchase option, allowing Norwich to acquire the defender's economic rights permanently once the loan period concludes. Alves, who served as a starter for Brazil in the 2025 U-20 World Cup, has struggled for first-team opportunities at Cruzeiro, currently sitting as the fifth-choice option in the central defensive rotation.
The move to English football represents a chance for the defender to restart his career and secure consistent playing time. Norwich finished ninth in the Championship this past season, just four points shy of the promotion playoffs. If finalized, Alves will be the only Brazilian player currently in the squad.
