Cruzeiro rejects Krasnodar's offer for midfielder Christian

Brazilian club Cruzeiro has turned down a $7 million bid from Russian side Krasnodar for their key player Christian, deeming the offer insufficient.

Cruzeiro has officially rejected an approach from Russian club Krasnodar for their midfielder Christian. Reports indicate that the Russian team offered approximately $7 million for the player, but the Brazilian club's board promptly turned down the proposal before it could even be discussed with the athlete.

This is not the first time Krasnodar has shown interest in the 25-year-old, having monitored him since the start of the season. However, Cruzeiro's management felt the offer was well below the player's value, given that his contract runs until the end of 2027 and his current market valuation on Transfermarkt is estimated at around 12 million euros.

A key player under coach Artur Jorge, Christian has become essential to the team's tactical setup. This season alone, he has made 33 appearances, recording eight goals and three assists. Known for his versatility, he primarily operates as a winger while frequently dropping back to contribute to the creative build-up play.
