Chris Ramos joins Real Oviedo on loan

Striker Chris Ramos is set to continue his career in Spain after Botafogo finalized a loan agreement with Real Oviedo. The forward will spend the 2026/2027 season with the Spanish second-division side.

Under the terms of the deal, Real Oviedo will cover 100% of the player's wages. Additionally, the Spanish club holds a purchase option to acquire 40% of the striker's economic rights for 4 million euros at the end of the loan period.

The move follows a decision by head coach Franclim Carvalho, who determined that Ramos was not part of his plans for the remainder of the season. During his time with the club, the forward made 21 appearances and scored five goals.

Botafogo is currently undergoing a significant squad overhaul. As the club continues to reshape its roster, they are also in advanced negotiations to bring in forward Danilo Pereira from Scottish club Rangers.
