In an action-packed encounter, Chelsea secured a 4:3 victory against Brighton. The match lived up to expectations, turning into a goal-fest where both teams demonstrated significant attacking prowess throughout the full 90 minutes.
The hosts seized the initiative early on, building a comfortable lead thanks to goals from Lavia in the 4th minute and Neto in the 14th. Before the break, the teams exchanged goals as Pedro extended the lead for the hosts, while Yalkuy reduced the deficit for the visitors.
The second half remained wide open. An own goal by Pedro gave Brighton hope for a comeback, but Palmer restored the two-goal cushion in the 74th minute. A final push from the visitors resulted in a late goal from Gross in the 6th minute of stoppage time, but the final whistle confirmed the victory for the Londoners.
