Bobadilla returns to training with São Paulo

São Paulo midfielder Bobadilla has returned to full training with the rest of the squad. The player has recovered from discomfort in his right knee, which had sidelined him for the recent league match against Flamengo.

His return was the main highlight of Monday's session as the team began preparations for their Grêmio clash. This match, valid for the 22nd round of the Brazilian Championship, is scheduled for this coming Saturday.

Bobadilla had previously experienced issues with the same knee back in May 2026, though the injury was not severe enough to rule him out of international duty with the Paraguay national team. Ahead of the Flamengo game, the discomfort resurfaced, leading the technical staff to clear him for treatment.

The squad is currently following a daily training regimen under manager Dorival Júnior, focusing on ball possession, tactical transitions, and offensive finishing as they look to secure a positive result at the Arena do Grêmio.
