Birmingham City have officially signed French defender Jade Rastocle. The 22-year-old centre-back joins the club from Montpellier for an undisclosed fee.
Rastocle joined the Premiere Ligue side in 2024, making 42 appearances and scoring one goal. Before her time at Montpellier, she played for Reims and represented France at the youth international level.
I'm very happy to be here. I can see the ambitions of the club, the city and I know it's a historic club. For me it's an unbelievable and very big opportunity to play here. Jade Rastocle
Blues head coach Amy Merricks praised the defender's experience, noting that her quality in one of Europe's top leagues makes her an excellent fit for the team's style. This signing follows the recent arrivals of Millie Turner and Lisa Naalsund, signalling a busy window for the club.
Birmingham earned promotion to the top flight last season after winning the WSL 2 title, ending a five-year absence from the highest level of English women's football.
