Barcelona preparing €130m bid for Julian Alvarez

Barcelona intends to intensify negotiations for Atletico forward Julian Alvarez following the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup. According to reports, the Catalan club is preparing a final bid of €130 million to secure the Argentine's services.
The club management has decided against increasing the offer to the €150 million mark previously proposed by Real Madrid, an amount which Atletico promptly rejected last month. By delaying the talks until the tournament ends, Barcelona aims to give the Madrid club more time to identify a suitable replacement for the striker.
Alvarez has reportedly expressed a strong desire to leave his current club and join Barcelona this summer. Despite a mixed performance at the World Cup, the club views him as the ideal candidate to become the new leader of their attack following the eventual departure of Robert Lewandowski.
