Ukrainian striker Artem Dovbyk is expected to depart AS Roma during the upcoming summer transfer window. Reports indicate that head coach Gian Piero Gasperini does not see the Ukrainian international in his long-term plans for the team.
The manager has requested that the club's board secure a replacement for the forward. The primary target for the Italian boss is 25-year-old Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee, currently playing for Manchester United.
Gasperini is aiming to construct a new attacking duo, pairing Zirkzee with Donyell Malen. The potential deal for the Dutchman is reported to be in the region of 25 million euros.
Dovbyk has recorded three goals and two assists in 18 appearances for the Giallorossi this season. His future remains subject to interest from clubs across Serie A, La Liga, and the Premier League.
