In their Europa League stage match, AC Milan secured a dominant 4-0 away victory against RB Salzburg. The standout performer was Rossoneri winger Alfadjo Cisse, who netted a hat-trick.
According to Opta, Cisse has officially become the youngest Italian player to record a hat-trick in a European competition. At the time of the match, he was 19 years and 358 days old.
Remarkably, the previous record lasted for only a few days. On Tuesday, Club Brugge forward Nicolo Tresoldi scored a hat-trick against Inter Milan at the age of 22 years and 54 days. Before that, the record was held by Alessandro Del Piero, who scored three goals against Monaco in the 1997/98 Champions League at the age of 23 years and 144 days.
