The management of AC Milan has initiated negotiations to extend the contract of midfielder Luka Modric. The Italian club is reportedly confident that they can persuade the 40-year-old Croatian to remain with the team.
The proposed new deal is for an additional one-year term, with the player's salary potentially reaching approximately 4.5 million euros per season. Modric's current contract is set to expire in June 2026.
The midfielder joined the Rossoneri last summer as a free agent following his departure from Real Madrid. His role remains significant, as the experienced Croatian has already made 36 appearances this season, contributing two goals and three assists.
