15-year-old Maria Teodoro and her grandmother attended the friendly match between Brazil and the USA at Neo Química Arena.
15-year-old Maria Luiza Teodoro dos Santos, who dreams of becoming a professional footballer, attended the friendly match between the Brazil and USA women's national teams. She visited the Neo Química Arena alongside her grandmother, Sônia, to watch the world-class clash from the stands.
Maria Luiza, an attacking midfielder, began her journey in futsal at age 6 before transitioning to the field at 12. She currently trains at a youth football academy in the Limão neighborhood, balancing training sessions with both boys and girls while staying dedicated to her high school studies.
She trains with the boys during the week and with the girls on Saturdays. She is also very dedicated to her studies, she's in her first year of high school. But she loves playing ball, she is passionate about football. Sônia Teodoro
The young player finds inspiration in stars like Marta, Tamires, and Gio Garbelini. Having already met some of her idols, including Tamires, Maria Luiza hopes that her own path will one day inspire other girls to pursue football.
The match at Neo Química Arena saw Brazil secure a 2-1 victory over the United States, with goals from Tainá Maranhão and Bia Zaneratto in front of 31,336 spectators.
