Yang Hyun-jun signs new long-term deal with Celtic until 2030

Celtic winger Yang Hyun-jun has signed a new contract with the club, extending his stay until 2030. The 23-year-old South Korea international joined the Hoops from Gangwon FC in 2023.

Since his arrival, Yang has made 111 appearances and scored 17 goals, contributing to three Scottish Premiership titles, a League Cup, and a Scottish Cup.

I love this club and my future is here. I'm happy, and though the season was a little bit hard, we are champions and hopefully next season it will be easier. I also want to show better performances in the European games. Yang Hyun-jun

Manager Martin O'Neill admitted he is delighted that a potential move to Birmingham City on deadline day did not materialize. O'Neill praised Yang's bravery, his ability to perform under pressure, and his recent return to the South Korean national team squad.
