Wout Weghorst joins Twente on a free transfer
The Dutch national team striker will move to Twente following the expiration of his contract with Ajax.

Ajax and Netherlands striker Wout Weghorst will continue his career at Twente. The club from Enschede officially confirmed the signing of the forward.
The 33-year-old will officially join his new team on July 1 as a free agent following the expiration of his contract at Ajax. He has signed a two-year deal with Twente that runs until the end of June 2028.
Weghorst had been with Ajax since the summer of 2024. During the 2025/26 season, he made 34 appearances across all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing four assists. The forward was also part of the Netherlands squad for the 2026 World Cup, though he did not feature during the group stage. In total, he has earned 52 caps for the national team, scoring 14 goals.
