Arsenal defender William Saliba has reached a significant milestone in his recovery from a troublesome back injury. The 25-year-old, who managed to avoid surgery, has finally transitioned from cycling to running at the London Colney training ground.
Saliba was ruled out in July after suffering the injury during France's World Cup semi-final defeat against Spain. According to reports, the player had been relying on painkillers to get through the latter stages of the previous campaign, which left him struggling with mobility.

Head coach Mikel Arteta has maintained a patient stance throughout the process, urging supporters to allow the Frenchman the necessary time to heal completely. The club's medical staff is monitoring his progress daily to ensure no setbacks occur.
His absence has forced Arteta to adjust a title-winning backline. New signing Ezri Konsa has been filling the gap, partnering Gabriel Magalhaes in the heart of the defence for the team's recent Premier League fixtures.
Saliba is currently aiming for a competitive return in November, provided his body continues to respond well to the increased workload. The Gunners will continue to rely on their current defensive pairing as they navigate the busy autumn schedule.
