Wales manager Craig Bellamy is in advanced talks with Burnley regarding the head coach position. The Championship side has approached the Football Association of Wales to appoint the 46-year-old as the successor to Scott Parker.

While a final deal has not yet been signed, negotiations have accelerated significantly over the last 48 hours. Burnley is reportedly willing to meet the compensation clause in Bellamy's current contract with the FAW, marking a major shift in the manager's immediate future.

The move would see Bellamy return to Turf Moor, where he previously served as an assistant to Vincent Kompany. He also briefly held the acting head coach role before leaving the club following Kompany's departure to Bayern Munich.

If Bellamy leaves the national team, the FAW is expected to consider candidates such as Steve Cooper and Rob Edwards to fill the vacancy.
