Vicario becomes indispensable for Juventus while club eyes Palmisani

Guglielmo Vicario is becoming increasingly important for Juventus. The goalkeeper is currently the only Juventus player in the latest Italy squad, and his standing within Luciano Spalletti's setup continues to rise. It is expected that the Italian will see significant playing time given the unavailability of Camil Grabara.

So far, Vicario has made 5 league appearances, conceding 4 goals. Following a strong start, which included two decisive saves against Parma, he appears to be back to full fitness after undergoing surgery for an inguinal hernia that sidelined him for the latter part of the previous campaign.

Despite his current form, his long-term future at the club is not yet guaranteed. Under the terms of his loan agreement with Tottenham Hotspur, Juventus hold an option to make the move permanent for €8 million, with an additional €2 million in potential performance-related bonuses.

Meanwhile, the club is scouting for future options, with Frosinone goalkeeper Lorenzo Palmisani emerging as a primary target. Juventus are reportedly planning a deal similar to the one that brought Federico Gatti to Turin: a permanent transfer in January followed by a loan back to his current club until the summer.
