Valentin Barco to become Chelsea's first signing under Xabi Alonso

Chelsea have reached a full agreement to sign Argentinian midfielder Valentin Barco. According to Fabrizio Romano, the 21-year-old is set to join the London club this summer.
Strasbourg, which shares ownership with Chelsea, has agreed to let the player leave. Barco is set to become the first player signed under the tenure of new head coach Xabi Alonso.
During the 2025/26 season, Barco made 43 appearances, contributing 3 goals and 9 assists. His current market value is estimated at 35 million euros.
