Utrecht to have option to buy Stepanov for two million euros
The Dutch club has an option to sign Artem Stepanov from Bayer Leverkusen, with the Germans retaining a buy-back clause.
Dutch club Utrecht has secured an option to sign 19-year-old Ukrainian forward Artem Stepanov from Bayer Leverkusen on a permanent basis. The transfer fee is set at two million euros.
The agreement also includes a protective clause for the German side. Bayer Leverkusen retains the right to buy the player back for four million euros should they choose to exercise it.
Stepanov has been with the Dutch outfit on loan since January, with his current deal running until the end of the season. The striker has enjoyed a productive spell, recording four goals in his four appearances so far.
Utrecht currently sits 15th in the Dutch league standings with two points from five matches. The team is scheduled to face Excelsior on September 13.
