Tottenham depart for pre-season tour without injured stars

Tottenham Hotspur have announced their squad for the upcoming pre-season tour in New Zealand and Australia, confirming that several key players will not be travelling as they continue their recovery from injuries.
Among those remaining in London is Dejan Kulusevski, who is still rehabilitating from knee surgery after a 14-month absence from the pitch. Mohammed Kudus also misses the trip as he recovers from a severe quadriceps injury sustained in January. The Ghanaian is currently at the club's training base but has not yet returned to field training.
Manager Roberto De Zerbi has also left Wilson Odobert and Xavi Simons out of the squad, as both players continue their rehabilitation following ACL injuries. Additionally, goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario will miss the tour due to a minor training injury, with reports suggesting he could potentially leave the club.
The absence of these players limits the manager's options during the critical pre-season period, complicating tactical preparations for the new season. The club must now balance the rehabilitation of these stars with the need to integrate new strategies during the tour.
The injured players will continue their recovery programs under the supervision of the club's medical staff. Meanwhile, the status of Guglielmo Vicario remains subject to further assessment regarding both his fitness and his future at the club.
