Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush is confident that his maiden goal for Tottenham in their 3-1 victory over Coventry City will act as a catalyst for a resurgence this season. The attacker, on loan from Manchester City, restored his side's lead in the 58th minute of a match that finally delivered the result the team was seeking.

This victory marks the first win for Roberto De Zerbi's side following a difficult run of three draws and three defeats. James Maddison opened the scoring, and Ben Davies sealed the points in stoppage time, lifting Tottenham from 20th to 16th in the table.

Reflecting on his debut strike and the team's performance, Marmoush said: "We are so, so happy. We have had good performances in that last week but haven't got the end result of a win. Very happy to win our first game today also happy to score my first goal for Tottenham. We will build on this."

The night was further highlighted by the return of Dejan Kulusevski, who made his first appearance since recovering from a serious knee injury. However, the club now faces fresh injury concerns, with defenders Robertson and Tosin Adarabioyo, as well as Marmoush himself, reportedly sustaining knocks during the contest.
