Shakhtar secure win over LNZ after red card

Shakhtar Donetsk secured a 3-0 victory over LNZ at Arena Lviv. While the visitors showed resilience for much of the game, an early dismissal forced them into a defensive struggle that ultimately ended in defeat.

LNZ, coached by Vitaliy Ponomaryov, remained competitive in the opening stages. However, the game turned on its head in the 22nd minute when defender Nazariy Muravskyi was sent off for unsporting behavior, leaving his team to play with ten men for most of the encounter.

Shakhtar finally broke the deadlock in the second half. Pedrinho da Silva opened the scoring in the 63rd minute, followed by a penalty from Neverton in the 70th and a final goal from Izaki in the 83rd. The numerical advantage allowed the hosts to dictate the pace and seal the three points.
