Roma defender Saud Abdulhamid has been selected for Saudi Arabia's 26-man squad for the 2026 World Cup. He stands out as the only player in the group currently based outside of the Saudi Pro League.

Greek coach Georgios Donis has built his squad almost entirely from domestic talent. Abdulhamid, who spent time on loan at Lens last season, is the sole exception in the roster. The team remains captained by 34-year-old Al Hilal veteran Salem Al Dawsari, who is heading into his third World Cup tournament.

Saudi Arabia begin their campaign in Group H on 15 June against Uruguay. They are scheduled to face 2010 champions Spain on 21 June before concluding the group stage against Cape Verde on 27 June.
