Ruben Dias stays at Manchester City, ending Real Madrid interest
Portuguese defender Ruben Dias has decided to remain at Manchester City for the upcoming season, effectively closing the door on a potential move to Real Madrid.

The future of Ruben Dias at Manchester City has been clarified. Despite persistent speculation linking him with a potential move to Real Madrid during the summer transfer window, the Portuguese defender is heading towards staying with the English side for at least another season.
According to The Athletic, Dias remains a fundamental component of manager Enzo Maresca's plans. The Portugal international has three years remaining on his contract, which also includes an option for the club to extend his stay by a further year.
In the upcoming campaign, Dias is expected to be a key pillar in the squad, lining up alongside Josko Gvardiol and Marc Guehi, as well as emerging talents Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis.
Real Madrid had been actively looking to bolster their defensive options following the arrival of manager Jose Mourinho. While the Spanish club has already secured the signings of Ibrahima Konate and Marc Cucurella, Dias will not be joining their ranks this summer.
