Robert Lewandowski scored twice in his first home match at Soldier Field, securing a 2-1 victory for Chicago Fire over Charlotte FC.

Polish striker Robert Lewandowski made a memorable first impression at Soldier Field, netting a brace to secure a 2-1 victory for Chicago Fire against Charlotte FC. Following back-to-back road defeats to Inter Miami and New York City FC, the 37-year-old veteran stepped up to deliver a crucial performance for his new side.
After falling behind early to an 18th-minute goal from Pep Biel, the Fire responded quickly through Lewandowski, who fired a powerful strike from the edge of the box into the bottom left corner just two minutes later. He struck again in the 68th minute to seal the win for the home side.

The brace marks a historic start, as Lewandowski becomes only the fourth player in club history to score twice on his home debut. Head coach and director of football Gregg Berhalter praised the striker's professional investment, noting that his effort and communication have been exemplary since arriving.
Currently sitting fourth in the Eastern Conference, the Fire are looking toward the future with optimism. The upcoming Leagues Cup fixtures are expected to provide further integration time for the striker as the team prepares for the final MLS regular-season push.
