Real Madrid are nearing the completion of one of the biggest transfers of the summer. According to reports, the Spanish giants have reached a full agreement with RB Leipzig for the transfer of winger Jan Diomande, with the deal expected to exceed 100 million euros.
The race for the Ivorian international also included PSG, but the player decided on a move to Madrid, prompting the French club to withdraw from negotiations. Both clubs are expected to finalize the formal paperwork next week.
Diomande is scheduled to arrive in Madrid this week to undergo a medical examination. Following the successful completion of the tests, he will put pen to paper on a long-term contract running until June 2031.
The 19-year-old winger had a breakthrough season, recording 13 goals and 10 assists in 36 appearances for the German side. He also gained international experience this year, featuring in four matches for the Ivory Coast national team at the World Cup.
