The second day of the Premier League's opening round delivered exciting action across the board. Everton kicked off their campaign with a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall opened the scoring late in the first half, with Tierno Barry doubling the lead after the break following an assist from Iliman Ndiaye.
Ipswich Town's return to the top flight was marked by a dramatic 2-1 win over Sunderland. After Emerson gave the hosts the lead, Nilson Angulo equalized with a spectacular free-kick. However, Clark secured all three points for the home side with a goal in the 90th minute.
Meanwhile, Leeds United claimed a hard-fought 1-0 win against Nottingham Forest. It was a tight and tense encounter throughout, but Anton Stach proved to be the difference-maker, netting the decisive goal in the 88th minute to seal the victory.
