Patrice Evra names the one player Man Utd should sign this summer

Patrice Evra has urged Manchester United to make a move for Victor Osimhen this summer. The former full-back believes that to compete across multiple competitions, the squad requires more firepower, even with Benjamin Sesko leading the line.

Evra is not alone in his assessment. Former United striker Louis Saha has previously described the prospect of signing the Nigerian forward as a "transformational" move. Saha highlighted Osimhen's European pedigree, noting his success in France, Italy with Napoli, and his clinical form while at Galatasaray.
With Champions League football returning to Old Trafford for the 2026-27 campaign, head coach Michael Carrick is aware that further firepower is required to remain competitive on multiple fronts. Beyond the striker position, Evra also noted that the club needs to address defensive requirements, including a new left-back and a replacement for Casemiro.
