Shakhtar have officially announced the appointment of Oleksiy Belik as the new head coach of the U-21 team. The 45-year-old coach will lead the side in preparation for the 2026/27 season alongside his new technical staff.

Belik is a product of the club's academy and remains one of the most recognized players in the team's history. During his playing career, he won three Ukrainian league titles and two Ukrainian Cups. His career also included spells at Bochum, Dnipro, and Metalurh Zaporizhzhia, as well as representing Ukraine across various youth and senior levels.

He began his coaching journey within the Shakhtar academy in 2021. After taking charge of the U-19 team in 2023, he guided them to significant success: following a runner-up finish, his squad achieved the Ukrainian championship title in the 2025/26 season.

Oleksiy Belik's new coaching staff includes Oleksiy Gay as assistant head coach, goalkeeper coach Artem Tetenko, and fitness coach Dmytro Kornienko.
