21-year-old Obolon defender Oleksandr Zhovtenko has credited his experience in the First League for his smooth transition to the Ukrainian Premier League. The defender noted that facing seasoned players at a lower level proved to be the key factor in understanding the demands of top-flight football.
Zhovtenko was a standout performer in the recent victory over Kolos, where he scored a goal and helped keep a clean sheet. He admitted that while he is comfortable within the team's tactical setups, he personally prefers playing in a four-man defensive line.
The club now looks ahead to their final fixture of the season against LNZ. Although the team has largely secured their place in the top division, Zhovtenko insists that the squad remains focused on performing until the final whistle of the campaign.
