Oleg Kozhushko: 'We felt we could beat Dynamo'

Bukovyna midfielder Oleg Kozhushko has commented on his team's stunning 3-0 victory over Dynamo Kyiv in the Ukrainian Premier League. The player admitted that while the team believed in their ability to compete, the emphatic scoreline was unexpected.

"We felt we could beat Dynamo. Of course, not necessarily 3-0, but we believed we could at least fight for a draw. We all had faith, and our coach Sergei Yurievich believed in us as well," Kozhushko told UPL TV.

Regarding his goal, Kozhushko revealed he had studied the opponent's goalkeeper: "I spoke with our goalkeeping coach Kychak before the game. I asked if Surkis tends to pull the ball back under himself. He said probably not. So, I decided to sprint until the end." The midfielder added that the goal was a significant psychological boost after a difficult run of form.
