Mykhailo Mudryk eyes Premier League loan as Chelsea weigh options

Mykhailo Mudryk has returned to the fold at Chelsea following a turbulent two-year absence from first-team action. The winger, who served a lengthy suspension after testing positive for meldonium, is now building up his match fitness through the club's pre-season tour.

Chelsea head coach Xabi Alonso has stressed the need for patience regarding the Ukrainian international's reintegration. "Everything has happened so quick, so the main thing is thinking about the person, to feel that he was back in the group dynamic, and we need to assess how he is doing," Alonso stated.

While continental options and sister club RC Strasbourg remain on the table, reports suggest Mudryk is eager to stay in England. Journalist Fabrizio Romano notes that the player's preference is a loan move within the Premier League to help him adapt back to the demands of top-flight football.

Coventry City, managed by former Blues boss Frank Lampard, have emerged as a potential landing spot. Inside the dressing room, Mudryk’s return has been met with significant support.
